A markdown index of your site, at /llms.txt, listing the pages you want an AI system to
read first. Ours is below. On our data a file under about 10,000 tokens made a site
roughly twice as cheap for an agent to read; a bigger one cost more than having none.
# llmstxt.studio> llmstxt.studio runs a free AI Readiness Audit of any website, 41 checks across access, discovery, content understanding, machine-readable data and answer readiness, and keeps a public llms.txt Registry that records what the ranked top million domains publish and how it changes over time. The audit is public and needs no account: https://llmstxt.studio/audit/<domain>. Every check has its own documentation page stating what is tested, how it is detected and how to fix it. Adoption figures are computed over a stated ranked sample and read from the registry at render time; the live number is on the statistics page. A longer version of this file, including the documentation for all 41 checks, is at https://llmstxt.studio/llms-full.txt.## Audit- [AI Readiness Audit](https://llmstxt.studio/audit): Enter a domain and get a score with 41 findings in five categories. Can AI systems reach your site at all?llmstxt.studio, audited 2 Nov 2026, 16:28 UTC
Every audited domain joins the llms.txt Registry, so your score is comparative: your
site against what the web actually does, not against a checklist alone. Nobody can

Questions
Is the AI Readiness Audit free?
Yes. The score and all 41 findings are free and need no account. The fix for each finding, a re-check once you have shipped it, and monitoring come with a free account. Paid plans add deep page-level crawls and scheduled re-audits.
Does this help me rank on Google?
No, and we will not tell you it does. Google Search does not read llms.txt. The audit measures how ready your site is for AI systems and agents: whether they can reach it, find what matters, understand it, and quote it safely.
What is llms.txt and why do I need it?
llms.txt is a markdown file that gives AI systems a structured summary of your website -- your key pages, topics, and how you'd like to be referenced. Think of it as a robots.txt, but for AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. It is based on an open specification and takes a few minutes to set up.
Is llms.txt the same as robots.txt?
No. robots.txt tells crawlers which URLs they may fetch; it does not decide what gets indexed or quoted. llms.txt is a curated summary of your site for AI systems to read. Neither file improves Google rankings. Whether llms.txt helps with AI at all is a fair question, and we answer it with every study we could find on our evidence page, Does llms.txt work?
Which AI models support llms.txt?
Any tool can choose to read it, and documentation platforms and coding agents do. No major AI provider has confirmed that its search product reads llms.txt, and independent crawler logs show AI bots fetch it rarely. Anthropic publishes one on its documentation site. Our registry measures how many of the ranked domains we check publish one; the live figure is on the statistics page. Treat it as a low-effort, forward-looking step, not a visibility lever.
How do I install the file on my website?
Upload the generated llms.txt file to your website's root directory (same level as your homepage). For example: yoursite.com/llms.txt. We provide detailed deployment instructions for popular platforms including Shopify, WordPress, GitHub Pages, and more.
